The Unltd Millennium Award Fellowship which I won is just a bit like getting the green light to go ahead and do in a successful manner, that which I've been unable to do in the past! A blessing perhaps which has the effect of making good everything for its recipient, clearing rubbish from the chosen pathway, so that indeed he can get where he wants to go.
After overcoming Wednesday's M25 traffic jams, and broken down tube trains on the Victoria Line, to get to Central London on time, was a considerable feat where luck (or was it?) paid a major part. Then my joy on meeting with Mark Charmer to discuss the work we are both passionate about, for the people of the developing world, who still have the opportunity to avoid the pitfalls of adopting the practices of a mis-directed, but supposedly developed Western society.
Naturally as one would expect under these joyous circumstances the conversation quickly moved to toiletry and the question as to what the toilet of the twenty first century would look like. Unanimity at last! “For sure you wont flush the thing after use”! we both agreed.
We see eye to eye on the development front and those exciting challenges ahead for New Directions Foundation. Is that a clearer way ahead I wonder, could it be.....?
It is now time to meet with my other blessings, those friends and colleagues now scattered round the globe who contributed with their hearts (and pockets) to the project. “Denis... Singapore is a heck of a long way from Deganwy. Ken …..........so too is Abuja” . Thankfully I counted my blessings leaving London when I called into see Richard appropriately enough at Well End!
